St. Bridget is one of the patron saints of Ireland. Her feast day is celebrated on the 1st February. It is tradition to create a St. Bridget’s cross out of reeds/rushes on her feast day. The cross is said to protect the home (or in older days the cow barn!). The sterling silver pendants in this collection is to celebrate the Saint and the Goddess Bridget (Brigid)
