Growing Home
If your roots are in Ireland, you’ll love this collection which depicts Ireland as a tree of life with deep, strong and enduring roots. It has stood strong throughout numerous hardships but continues to grow and give shelter to new and existing generations. This collection is inspired by the strength of the Irish spirit.
Rotate the pieces to see the strong tree of life image transform into the map of Ireland.
The Growing Home pendant is meticulously handcrafted in sterling silver with love for Irish roots, history and folklore.
This green Growing Home pendant is made with a very special translucent material* that allows the light to shine through the piece to reveal Celtic spirals (triskele) that feature at the back of each piece. The color Green represents the Land of Ireland. There is also a Blue version available that represents the Atlantic Ocean.
This small pendant measures 20mm in diameter and is striking when worn – guaranteed to be noticed. You can choose a 16 or 18 inch chain. Please just leave a note if you require a different length chain.
The pendants are hallmarked – 925 sterling silver – in the Assay Office at Dublin Castle and a story card explaining the meaning of the pieces comes with each piece purchased.
* this material is a type of acrylic specifically chosen for its translucent and anti-scratch properties. These pieces require nothing more than a wipe of a polishing cloth to maintain and are also OK to place into an ultrasonic cleaner.
Tracy’s Inspiration
Tracy was educated through the Irish language and her love of Ireland’s heritage is central to this collection. Her designs often feature an innovative use of light inspired by the prehistoric monument at Newgrange, Co. Meath in Ireland that was constructed between 3000 and 2500 BC. It is aligned with the rising sun and once a year, on the Winter Solstice (the shortest day of the year), light floods the chamber of Newgrange to spectacular effect. Newgrange also showcases some wonderful early artwork with Celtic Spirals etched into large rocks at the front of the monument. These pieces attempt to capture the magic and importance of Newgrange as a national Irish treasure.
